What is Hypnosis?

Everyone has experienced hypnosis from time to time. For example, once you have done a task over and over (driving the same route, walking, riding a bike) the mind easily switches to auto pilot (hypnosis) so you are free to put your focus elsewhere while the mind, without your conscious awareness, instructs the body on how to function. It is when you zone out, day dream, or when you are super focused in the present moment with no regard to the external world (people on their cell phones for instance), that is hypnosis.

You may wonder how well hypnosis works? Let’s take a look at the results.

am a Certified Hypnosis Practitioner.  I received my certification through the American International Association of Hypnosis in 2018.

My purpose and obsession is to help people transform their lives.

I live in Plantsville, Connecticut with my husband, our loving kitty and have two adult children and two grandchildren.

Read the following helpful tip so you can begin to implement healing now.

The outside world activates, or triggers, what needs to be healed within. However, instead of turning inward,  we often try to manipulate the external world thinking that is where the problem is. But the truth is our happiness depends on the choices we make when something or someone  is not the way we want it to be. No matter what happens ‘out there’ we are still 100% responsible for our peace and happiness. The only way I know how to live a peaceful and happy existence is to go within to heal when triggered.

True others and circumstances may activate – jealousy, disappointment, anger, resentment, frustrations, fear, etc., but the experience is felt inside and will remain until we change and heal. Are you ready?

There is no need to rearrange the outside world in order to feel safer or better. 

In order to grow and evolve out of these negative experiences simply notice the moment you feel any negativity arising.  Forget what is happening ‘out there’ and put your full attention on what physical sensations are felt  in your body. Notice where the sensation is and how it feels. Let the sensation be there without engaging with it by judging  or criticizing. Simply notice and watch. Give the feeling space and a chance to process. Once the feeling has disappeared know that you are one step closer to healing. Commit to this process 100% of the time and you will grow into a better version of your self before you know it. Those old triggers will be history and people will want to know what you’re doing.

You can do this process when in physical pain too. Simply get quiet, put your full attention on the area of pain and ask, “What are you trying to tell me?” Stay still and listen. Continue to do this until an answer is received. You may be surprised at what you hear.

Most importantly be gentle with yourselves, go at whatever pace is right for you and take care!
